Sharepoint site failure authentication due to domain controller failure

Today the domain controller failure resulted in SharePoint site failure.

The site has NTLM Integrated Windows authentication.

The SharePoint logs only tell us that the site is unreachable but doesn’t explain the cause:
Cannot find site lookup info for request Uri https://99.99.99.999:99999/

The key is to look into Event viewer => Security section of Windows logs.
On the web nodes we can see the Audit failures in Security section of Windows logs.

Once the domain controller was restored we did IISRESET on all the nodes.

This URL guided me to look into Event viewer => Security section of Windows logs
